IDP Dynasty Rookie Rankings
James Elvins, Jul 27, 2010
Primarily for dynasty owners, this is the second part of this season’s guide to how we see this year’s draft class and how they will eventually round out in the league. The first part can be found here. Just like Part 1, this is not an average draft position (ADP) guide; it’s merely a ranking. Enjoy!

The Sharks Leagues are Coming!
Pat Smith, FantasySharks.com
Jul 8, 2010 |
 |
 |
I just returned from a short vacation and will be hitting the leagues hard the next few weeks! We will follow the same format as last year, with returning players placed, winners and losers moving up and down, and notices then sent. We'll have a deadline to grab your team, then we move up still more returning players to fill the void left from no-shows, which will result in full, set leagues at the top of the pyramid. That will be followed by setting up the bottom rungs of the pyramid in a first-come-first-serve format.

Why QB's Are More Valuable Than RB's
Tom Krasniqi, Fantasy Football Guest Writer
Jul 30, 2010 |
 |
 |
| For years you’ve heard the theory from just about every so-called fantasy football expert, 'Runningbacks are the most valuable position in fantasy football and you must take two backs in your first three picks'. I say you need to abandon that strategy and let your league’s scoring system dictate who you should draft. |

Superstitious Minds
Anthony Jovinelli, Fantasy Football Guest Writer
Jul 28, 2010 |
 |
 |
| Television sports anchors are discussing the beginning of training camp and the offseason changes made by our favorite teams. Store magazine racks are cluttered with publications dedicated to those of us who are addicted to the phenomenon of fantasy football, and I just found out the date of my league’s draft. It was then that I started to contemplate my own superstitions and wondered how many others have them as well. |

Bounce Back Candidates
Zeph Garthright III, Fantasy Football Guest Writer
Jul 26, 2010 |
 |
 |
| Every single fantasy season there seems to be a crop of guys from last year who didn’t exactly perform up to expectations. The real key to success is pinpointing exactly which players will bounce back from their disappointing 2009 seasons and vastly outperform their perceived value. I’m here to point out a handful of these bounce back candidates heading into the 2010 season and let you know which ones will rise up off the canvas, and which ones will stay down for the 10 count. |

Draft Strategies: How To Prepare For Your Draft So You Have An Edge
Mark Lewin, Fantasy Football Guest Writer
Jul 26, 2010 |

| Prepare for draft day so that you will be able to jump on opportunities, anticipate the moves of others, and avoid common draft day mistakes. Leave the draft saying “That was awesome!,” instead of saying, “What happened?” |

Runningbacks with a Favorable SOS
Chuck Mitchell, Fantasy Football Guest Writer
Jul 26, 2010 |

Embracing Running Back By Committee
Matt Vereb, Fantasy Football Guest Writer
Jul 23, 2010 |
 |
 |
| Runningback by committee is here to stay. For the most part, gone are the days of 25-30 carry per game runningbacks. The runningback by committee has ultimately enhanced the strategy involved in fantasy football. Evolution is a part of life. The NFL, and subsequently fantasy football, is just joining the party. |

Who’s the Tightest End?
Marc Griffis, Fantasy Football Guest Writer
Jul 23, 2010 |
 |
 |
| Why don’t tight ends get the same respect as other offensive positions in the league? Several tight ends totaled similar statistics as the top runningbacks and wide receivers taken in the first and second rounds. I have analyzed the top performing tight ends of 2009 to help you strategize who will be the “tightest” end in 2010. |

Set your expectations based on these factors
Chuck Mitchell, Fantasy Football Guest Writer
Jul 23, 2010 |

 |
| Most fantasy owners base their expectations on a player’s performance from last season. Probably 90 percent of fantasy owners are guilty of this expectation. But, there are a number of factors that will make a player more or less valuable and I'm about to let you know what they are. |

Facilitating Draft-Day Trades in a Redraft League
Jack Jordan, Fantasy Football Guest Writer
Jul 22, 2010 |

| So, you and your friends (co-workers? family? sworn enemies?) have decided to further take advantage of the fish in your league by allowing draft-day trades. In a redraft league this can become complicated. So, I've decided to give you a basic formula for facilitating draft-day trades that is easy to use and won't keep you locked in a building for days negotiating trades with your boss' cousin's girlfriend's dad. |

Mark Bertrand, Fantasy Football Guest Writer

NFC West: Fantasy Preview
Dan Colombo, Fantasy Football Guest Writer
Jul 21, 2010 |
 |
 |
| The NFC West is considered one the league's weakest division. The combined record of the Arizona Cardinals, St. Louis Rams, Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers last year was a humbling 24-40. The Cardinals took the division last year with a mediocre 10-6 record. This year could be different however, as many teams have made a handful of offseason transactions to bolster their rosters. Here is the fantasy outlook for the NFC West. |

This Year's Ray Rice?
Matt Vereb, Fantasy Football Guest Writer
Jul 20, 2010 |

 |
| One of the most interesting topics debated within the Shark Tank Message Boards has been, ‘Who will be this year’s Ray Rice? After reviewing each of the posts and evaluating year-to-year trends, I have made my selection. Like Rice, this player is an explosive back who plays for a winning club. This player is also ready to burst out of a crowded backfield and ascend into fantasy stardom … |

Dynasty Rookie Rankings
James Elvins, Fantasy Football Staff Writer
Jul 10, 2010 |
 |
 |
| I think we've seen enough ADP lists - here's a breakdown of this year's rookie class...This list is a compilation of rookies that have the ability to not only succeed at the NFL level, but have the opportunity either imminently or in the near future. As such, they are broken down into tiers and explanations given as to how, and just as importantly, why they make the list. Whilst geared towards dynasty drafts - as it's a ranking rather ADP list - redrafters can also make use of it. Enjoy! |
